The Clippers play at Ipswich this afternoon.

The Vikings (8-7) clinched a post-season berth with an exciting win over the Sachems (7-9) yesterday, 3-2. Triton's Molly Fargeorge (7-6, 6-1) and Allie Murray (6-1, 7-6) won in their singles matches, and Emily and Teresa Kaminski won their doubles match (6-2, 7-5). For Pentucket, first singles Karena Webber (6-3, 6-1) was victorious, and Amy Dickinson and Erica McKee (6-4, 6-2) won their doubles match.

Newburyport's Taylor Damon (6-4, 2-6, 7-5), Gabby Quarantiello (6-2, 6-1), and Julie Manning (3-6, 6-3, 6-2) won their singles matches. Renee Angelo and Delphina Gerber-Williams won at second doubles (6-2, 6-2).

The Sachems (7-8) swept the singles matches against Ipswich yesterday, as Karena Webber (3-6, 6-1, 6-1), Rachael Downey (7-6, 7-6), and Sarah Dillon (6-3, 6-2) each had solid matches. The Sachems can clinch a tourney spot with a win against Triton this afternoon.

Karena Webber won at first singles (6-3, 6-2), Rachael Downey won at second singles (6-1, 6-1), and Sarah Dillon won at third singles (6-0, 6-0). Amy Babeu and Katherine Torrisi won at first doubles (6-0, 6-1), and Amy Dickinson and Erica McKee won second doubles (6-2, 6-0).

Amesbury dropped to 0-15 with the loss.

Molly Fargeorge (6-2, 6-1) and Allie Murray (6-3, 7-5) won their matches for Triton (7-7).

No. 2 singles player Molly Fargeorge (6-0, 6-2) and No. 3 singles player Ali Murray (6-0, 6-1) each won for Triton, but the Vikings struggled in doubles play with a couple of tough losses and lost the match, 3-2.

No. 1 singles Karena Webber (1-6, 6-3, 6-3), No. 2 singles Rachael Downey (6-1, 5-7, 6-3), and No. 2 doubles Amy Dickinson and Erica McKey (fault) all won for Pentucket in perhaps the Sachems biggest win of the year over a very good North Andover team.

Renee Angelo and Delphina Gerber-Williams (6-2, 2-6, 4-6) played their best match together for Newburyport against a very strong Hamilton-Wenham team, according to coach Alyson Lindquist. Julie Manning, Talor Damon, and Gabby Quarantiello all played strong matches as well despite losses.

Sarah Dillon (6-2, 6-3) won her singles match for Pentucket (4-8). Amy Dickinson and Erica McKee won their doubles match (6-2, 6-0).

Lauren Mihalchik (6-2, 6-0), Molly Fargeorge (6-1, 6-0) and Allie Murray (6-4, 6-0) won their singles matches for Triton (7-5).

Emily Kaminsky and Theresa Kaminsky (6-1, 6-4) won at first doubles. Julia Ackerly and Sidney White (6-2. 6-2) won at second doubles.

No. 2 Molly Fargeorge (6-4, 4-6, 6-1) took the only match for Triton in a loss.

Freshman Rachael Downey won her second singles match (7-5, 6-2), and Sarah Dillon won her third singles match (6-2, 6-1) for the Sachems (3-7).

"Sarah Dillon really played consistent," said Sachem coach Laurie Dunnet. "Her win was certainly convincing."

Although the score looked lop-sided, coach Ali Lindquist said her Clippers played their best match of the season often taking the top team in the league, Lynnfield, to deuce on each point.
