Trailing Groton by two with 1:57 to go, Governor's got goals from Samantha Davidson and Meghan Umansky to send the game to overtime. Once there, Governor's and Groton traded goals before Reanne Burgess scored the winner in double overtime with 15 seconds left to win 10-9. Umansky had four goals and Sarah Moore had two in the win.

Nate Laliberte won 19 of 20 faceoffs, helping Governor's boys lacrosse crush Groton 16-2. Laliberte also had a goal and an assist, Will Murtagh had three goals and two assists and C.J. Baroni posted a hat trick of his own.

Freshman Peyton O'Leary of Amesbury knocked down a 3-pointer with four seconds left to help Governor's beat Noble and Greenough 58-56 on Senior Night. O'Leary also had a steal and a basket with about a minute left to spark an 8-0 run over the final minute.

The Governor's Academy boys 4x200 relay team of Kyle Rochford, Otto Laakkonen, Ben Murtagh and Luke Moriarty broke its own school record on Wednesday, beating out teams from Phillips Andover, Wilbraham and Monson, Marianapolis Prep and Landmark to finish in 1:37.61. Laakkonen also won the 55-meter dash (6.85), Moriarty won the 300 (38.00) and Rochford won the high jump (5-7).

Fredericka Lucas won the 55, 300, high jump and 4x200 to power Phillips to a 74-33 win over Governor's. Michaela Jones was victorious in the 600 and 1,000 for the 2-0 Big Blue.

Winless five years ago, Governor's Academy wrestling is enjoying a banner year, as the team swept its quad-meet on Saturday to improve to 13-2 on the season. Jin Kwon, Amy Liu, Mitch West, Luke Bellacini, Jun Kwon, Albert Cha, Aurian Zarrineh and Dave Hurlin all went 3-0 against Milton Academy, St. Sebastian's and Eagle Hill.

Governor's Academy wrestling swept Marinapolis Prep, Thayer Academy and Chapel Hill-Chauncey Hall on Saturday to improve to 7-2 on the season. Cara Nugent (113 pounds), Kristoff Burrell (126), Jun Kwon (132), Bejunior Fallon (138) and Cooper Howson (145) led the way by going 3-0.

DJ Frechette knocked down seven 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 33 points, leading Governor's Academy to a 63-54 win over the Pomfret School in the Kingswood Oxford Tournament in Connecticut.

The Governor's Academy boys basketball team fell to Lawrenceville (NJ) in the opening game of the Kingswood Oxford tournament in Connecticut on Friday night. Joe Pridgen led the way with 23 points and DJ Frechette added 16.
