Larissa Piessens had a home run and drove in six runs with her three hits and Cami Belair scored five runs as Windham drilled 21 hits in a 21-8 win over Exeter.

Bella Colizzi took the shot put (30-4.5) and discus (67-5.5) and Emily Plante won the 100 hurdles (17.24) and 300 hurdles (53.45) to lead Salem past Exeter 73-53.

Salem's David Jacques won the long jump (19-4), triple jump (38-9.5) and 110 hurdles (17.85) while football teammate Aidan McDonald won the 100 (11.91) and 200 (23.30) as the Blue Devils beat Exeter 76-48.

Unbeaten Salem shaded Exeter, 9-6. Stars included Sydney Emerson (3 hits, 3 runs), Jennifer Olson (2 hits, 2 runs), Madison Burns (2 hits), Vania Moniz (2 hits), Addie Lucier (3 RBI) and Emersen Poulin (2 RBI).

Sam Maietta was 2 for 2 with four RBIs and Adan Ayala had a home run and scored three runs as Salem ripped Exeter 13-3 in five innings. Ryan Allard was the winner. 

DERRY — It was a bittersweet evening Wednesday for the entire Pinkerton wrestling team.

But, for different reasons, especially for freshman Michael Ziniti and senior David Hammond.

Kaleb Bates hit three 3-pointers on his way to a team-high 17 points, but Salem fell to unbeaten Exeter 67-33.

Arden Ferrari-Henry excelled in goal with 12 saves, but Timberlane girls soccer dropped a battle of undefeated teams 2-0 to Exeter in the Division 1 preliminary round. The Owls fell to 8-1-1, while the Blue Hawks improved to 12-0-0.

Phillips Academy senior Alex Fleury keeps getting making waves in the mile run. On Friday, he ran a stunning 4:05.57 in the mile at the Boston University Last Chance Invitational. He won his section, running away from the field over the final four laps and finishing with a terrific 58.1 over the last 400. That time smashed Fleury's previous all-time area record of 4:08.32

The North Andover boys hockey team won the Hillie Christmas Classic tournament with a 4-1 win over Exeter (N.H.). Goalie Patrick Green was named tourney MVP after his 20-save performance in the finals.
