North Reading's Ryan Boucher picked up his first varsity win in a 3-1 victory over Saugus. Boucher pitched all seven innings, giving up no earned runs and striking out 10. 

Cooper Carifio qualified for states with a personal best time of 23.8 in the 200. He helped Pentucket win 96-45 over Saugus in boys track and also post its first victory this spring. 

Connor Beaton scored four goals and Brendan Sullivan scored two goals and had four assists as Pentucket opened its season with a 16-4 drubbing of Saugus.

Tyler Feeney remained hot, going 2 for 4 with a triple and three RBIs as Pentucket ripped Saugus 10-2 for its third straight win. Feeney is 8 for 13 on the year. Sophomores Maddie Binding and Sarah Stewart started their first game and combined for five hits.

Pentucket won it's season finale 65-62 over Saugus to finish at 10-10 and earn a state tourney berth. Ryan Kuchar and Adam Chory scored 10 points apiece while Pat Freiermuth and Will Sullivan had nine each.

Sophomore guard Carley Swartz had five 3-pointers and 20 points as North Reading whipped Saugus 60-36.

Adam Goldstein's 3-pointer with just over a minute to play gave North Reading the lead, and the Hornets followed with the next six points to finish off Saugus 62-54. Will Mitchell grabbed 20 rebounds for the winners.

Pentucket pounded Saugus, 73-25, to hike its winning streak to 11 games headed into the showdown with unbeaten Masconomet on Monday. Kelsi McNamara had 14 points and Rebecca Torrisi added nine.

Jared Potter scored three goals and added four assists as North Reading blasted Saugus 9-0.
