With starting goalie Nicole Schena at the hospital due to a bad reaction to a virus, Andover manager Andrea Pennock stepped in and held unbeaten power Walpole scioreless in the first half before the Warriors dropped a 3-0 decision.
"I give her (Pennock) a lot of credit, the way she stepped in," said Andover coach Maureen Noone. "Jaclyn Torres and Meagan Keefe did a great job on defense and to hold a team that had been scoring up to 10 goals was something to build on. We actually outplayed them in the first half."
