Odds and ends: Pinkerton graduated its top three scorers, one of whom, Kellie Cunningham, is starting at Endicott College. ... The Astros have reached at least the semifinals in every state tourney since their first one in 1999, when they made the quarterfinals in their inaugural season. ... Pinkerton was 13-0 in the regular season last year in New Hampshire to earn the No. 1 seed but was upset in the semifinals.

Coach Bryon Murphy (10th year, 133-35-1): "The main thing is we need to find some offense. I think we'll spread it around more this year and our defense and midfield are strong. We'll need to rely on our defense while we find the scoring. I don't know if we can match last year's record, but I'd like to get in the top four and then see what happens from there."
