Pentucket's girls lacrosse adnaced past the first round of the state tournament for the third straight year, defeating Tewksbury 23-18. Vanessa Cahill and Brianna Yocum both scored six goals for the Sachems (11-6), who will play St. Mary's in Lynn tomorrow at 7 p.m. in the next round, and Hillary Dandurant made 16 saves.
"It was a good team effort and I'm hoping we can keep it up," said Pentucket coach Bob Pierce.
