The Newburyport Clippers (0-3) were outplayed by the Masconomet Chieftains yesterday, 17-2. The score at the half was 10-1. Sophomore Andrew Sokol scored the two Clipper goals, and goalie Dean Cataldo played well with 15 saves.
"That's just an established program we played against today," said Clipper coach Ed Gaudiano. "It was a combination of them playing very well at their skill level, and us really struggling at ours."
