Rangers roll on

 

Methuen won all five meets at Marshfield to remain unbeaten at 13-0. Among the highlights for the Rangers were a 4-0 day by 170-pounder Jose Diaz and 2-0 records for Nick Avellani at 126, CJ Brown at 160and Jay Ramos at 195, all of whom looked sharp.

Rangers stay perfect

 

In an attempt to get completely healthy, Nate Green hasn't wrestled in every meet this season for Methuen but, when he has, he hasn't missed a beat.

Green was particularly impressive Saturday as the Rangers won four dual meets to improve to 14-0. He was 4-0 on the day and highlighted the swweep with a 4-2 decision over Marshfield's Jacob Garcia, who ia a returnin All-State placers.

Colon breaks out

 

Methuen freshman Jarmany Colon had his best day of the season, going 3-0 with three first-period pins as Methuen improved to 18-0 with an easy sweep of Taunton, Middleboro, Silver Lake and Brockton.

Methuen's Green day

 

Unbeaten Methuen flexed its Merrimack Valley Conference muscles by easily sweeping four meets at Marshfield, averaging 59 points in the romps. Nate Green led the way at 106 for the Rangers (18-0) with four first-period pins. Trevor Abdallah, Travis Manick and Darius Franklin also had four pins on the day and Saul Cabrera and Alex Lima had three pins.

Methuen shows more balance

 

Methuen's standouts got some assistance yesterday as the Rangers defeated four teams to improve to 5-0.

Returning New England champ Christian Monserrat (138), sophomore star Billy Wehring (113), transfer Brad Andrews (126) freshman Darius Franklin (160) and Mike Golio (220) were all 4-0, but 182-pounder Jon Gonzalez went 3-0 and had a big pin to help clinch a 48-32 victory over Haverhill.
