NORTH ANDOVER – On the verge of a statement win against an unbeaten opponent, North Andover, instead, found heartbreak.

MVC small division front-runner Billerica rallied with 29 second-half points, including the game winning two-point conversion with 2:19 left for a 35-34.

NORTH ANDOVER – Entering Week 6, North Andover was looking to end a three-game losing streak during which it struggled in the second halves.

Friday evening found the Scarlet Knights enjoying both sides of intermission as they scored 13 points in each of the first three quarters en route to an easy 46-0 victory over Dracut.

Emma Reilly scored twice, and fellow Eagle-Tribune All-Star Rose MacLean had two assists as Andover field hockey topped North Andover 4-0. Alivia Downer made 27 saves for the Scarlet Knights.

Shelby Nassar scored the lone goal in North Andover field hockey's 1-0 win over Methuen. Rangers goalie Alex Tardugno starred, making a whopping 25 saves.

Haverhill's Matt Murphy was the medalist with a 34, winning the No. 1 spot 3-and-1, as the Hillies and North Andover played to a 10-10 tie.

Luna Prochazkova grabbed first in 19:30 over the 2.8-mile course as North Andover beat Methuen 16-46. Scarlet Knight Hannah Shea was second (19:46). The top Ranger finisher was Elise Anderson (fifth, 21:11.)

Sam Driend scored a season-high 30 kills, 19 service points and four aces as Methuen beat North Andover 3-0 for the first time in program history. Ariana Baez added 16 assists and Carolina Rodriguez had 14 digs for the winners.

Lauren Willoe scored twice as North Andover field hockey rolled to a 5-0 win over Dracut.

Colin Willoe took a pass from Peter Sciaudone and scored the lone goal in North Andover's 1-0 win over Andover. Niklas Restrepo made it stand up with seven saves. 

North Andover picked up its first volleyball victory with a dominating straight-set win at Lowell. Nadine Abdat led the way with 12 kills and a pair of blocks while Jaylynn DesRochers added eight kills, many off Anna Wong's 25 assists.
