Tarah Reilly and winning pitcher Terri Ferrazzani both had bases-loaded triples to pace North Reading to a surprising easy 14-1 victory over Amesbury. Reilly finished with four hits and five RBIs for the Hornets (15-2). 

Ryan McAuliffe threw a complete game shutout to earn his second win of the week. He surrendered just five hits and struck out eight while walking nobody as North Reading won 5-0 over Amesbury.

Maggie Silva battled back from down 5-2 in the third set to win at second singles and North Andover blanked Amesbury.

Ian Mitchell qualified for states in the high jump (5-10) to highlight Pentucket's tough 79-66 loss to Amesbury. Personal bests were registered by Dan Thornton in the 400 hurdles (60.4), Joe Labrecque in the mile (5:08.3) and the 4x100 relay team of Cooper Carifio, Steven Hardy, Tim Freiermuth and Matt Barry (46.4).

With a pole vault of 10-0, Ali Attenasio tied the Pentucket school record as part of the Sachems' 99-46 track victory over Amesbury.

Patrick Irwin won the triple jump with a 42-6 3/4, shattering his old personal best of 41-4, as North Andover swept Ipswich (89-56) and Amesbury (102-43).

Julia Mehlman was a triple winner and Katie McManus broke her own school record in the shot put as North Andover blitzed Amesbury. Alexandra Layne had a big day in the throws. Danielle Poto won the 2-mile in a personal best time.

Ryan McAuliffe threw 7 innings, allowing no earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out eight batters as North Reading baseball won 7-1 over Amesbury.

In a battle of unbeatens and perennial powers, Terri Ferrazzani and North Reading outdueled Carolina Merrill and Amesbury 2-0. Both teams had three hits but Ferrazzani was sharper, striking out eight without issuing a walk.

Danny Fitzgerald, in his first game back from a fractured back, and Tommy Hogan each had two free throws in the final 30 seconds and Evan Wade had a big steal with five seconds left as North Reading nipped Amesbury, 48-46.
