Pinkerton sophomore Rachel Byrd belted a three-run triple and drove in five runs as the Pinkerton softball team won its second straight, ripping Concord 11-3. Kasey Marraffa and Natalie Fabrizio both scored three runs.

Bolduc powers on

 

 

A hip injury has kept Londonderry senior Lindsey Bolduc off the field defensively, but she continues to power the ball as the designated hitter. In yesterday's 8-2 victory over Concord, she was 3 for 4 and slugged her seventh home run in nine games. Cara Colatti was also 3 for 4 for the Lancers (8-1) and Kelsey Enright, who is filling in for Bolduc at shortstop, was 2 for 3 with two RBIs.

One from perfection

Salem's Nicole Gubellini allowed a hit to the first batter of the game, then proceeded to retire the next 21 hitters in a row as the Blue Devils topped Concord 5-0. Gubellini, who fell just that leadoff single short of her second straight no-hitter, struck out eight.
