Prep Champs ... Again

Phillips Academy, seeded fourth coming in, earned its second straight Central New England Prep Baseball title, sweeping Deerfield, 10-7, and Worcester Academy, 12-8, yesterday.
Connor Farrell's two-run triple sparked the opening win, helping sophomore Tim Salvadore to the victory.
Tufts-bound post grad Tim Superko showed his toughness in the championship nightcap, going the distance on a seven-hitter with five walks to take out Worcester Academy.
Worcester had swept the Big Blue in the regular season, but Andover wasn't about to be denied history yesterday.
Frosh John Simourian drove in three runs, as did Joey Verhaegh, whose bases-loaded double proved to be the key shot.
Phillips moves to 10-6, awaiting only rival Exeter this week.
