Pelham puts score into Plymouth

No. 10 seed Pelham boys lacrosse didn't win yesterday but it put a scare into second-seedeed Plymouth. "I'm super proud," Pelham coach Joe Young said. "We competed all day. Their goalie made some great saves, too." The undergo Pythons lost 7-3 in the Division 3 quarterfinals but were tied 2-2 with Plymouth at halftime. Dustin Lubinger, Luke Tracy and Kevin Sabine scored Pelham's goal, Eric Guinasso added an assist and Collin Duffmarsh made 16 saves.   Young said he'll miss the seniors but the team will have a lot of returning underclassmen next year. He enjoyed how this year's team gave a blue-collar effort.

Cool Hand Luke

Luke Tracy, Pelham's leading scorer, tallied his first goal of the game 35 seconds into sudden death to give the No. 10 Pythons a 13-12 opening round tourney win over No. 7 Kingswood. Zach Marsiello won 23 of 27 faceoffs and Harley Kearney scored five goals.
