Newburyport 4, Amesbury 2

Newburyport closed out its CAL schedule in style going undefeated in the Clippers last seven matches, the team beat Amesbury, 4-2, with only a game against Methuen remaining on the schedule.

Tom Svirsky led the goal-scoring barage with a goal and two assists, Tyler Stotz had a goal and an assist, Connor Lynch scored a goal, Thayer Adsit scored a goal, Jeff Jones had an assist, and Ethan Machurat had an assist. On the Indians side Chris Youngs scored a penalty kick.

Newburyport qualified for the state tournament with a tie against Pentucket in a thrilling ALS Cup match, 2-2. However, wanting to provide a winner for one team to take home the cup, the Sachems won in a shootout, 4-3.

Newburyport appears to have found its stride beating Methuen, 5-1, and scoring 12 goals in the Clippers past two games.

Tyler Stotz was the catalyst for the stout attack scoring the third goal and setting up two others. Tom Svirsky also had a solid game with a goal and an assist as did Connor Lynch with two goals. Yazid Eideh scored the last Clipper goal, and Mark Bajko also had an assist.

Newburyport put on a goal-scoring display as seven different players scored for the Clippers.

Steve Bajko, Mark Bajko, Connor Lynch, Paul Cedrone, Yazid Eideh, Tom Svirsky, and Shane Stevens all scored for the Clippers. Svirsky, Steve Bajko, Jake Stigliano, Lynch, Tyler Stotz, and Paul Cedrone also had assists.
