Despite battling inexperience issues, Timberlane continues to impress with its hustle and desire on the court, drawing kudos from opponent Nashua North despite dropping a 3-0 decision. Katie Matatall had three kills and 14 digs to lead the fledgling Owls.

Floyd sets 1,000

Pinkerton won its Volleyball match 3-0 vs Timberlane, during the match Senior Mikayla Floyd surpassed 1,000 career assists. "That is well beyond the school record" said Pinkerton Coach Todd Royce,"It is a rare feet", Timberlane Coach Roxanne O'Connor has been coaching for 17 years and said Floyd is the first player she can recall setting the mark.

Student beats teacher

Concord girls volleyball coach Doug Oxford must have gotten some extra satisfaction with yesterday's exciting 3-2 vitory at Timberlane.

Not only was it only only Concord's second win of the year but it was over Timberlane coach Roxanne O'Connor, who was his teacher in biology at Milford High School more than 20 years ago.

Several fill bill for injured Mills

Losing middle hitter Sarah Mill (knee) in the season-opener caused Timberlane to respond en masse, defeating Manchester Central, 25-18, 25-10, 25-22. Mill's replacement, junior Shannon Miller, stepped in for a team-high three kills while Lindsey Raumikaitis had four blocks. Chelsea Mattison came off the bench for three aces. Mill will find out her future tomorrow when she visits an orthopedic surgeon to assess the injury.
