Owls get defensive, whip Spaulding

 

PLAISTOW — Thanks to the Timberlane defense, Nick Lawrence got a much-needed break in the second half last night.

Seen icing his sore legs earlier in the day, Lawrence rushed for 88 yards and two TDs in the first two quarters and went 60 yards on a swing pass for another score as the Owls built a 31-0 halftime lead over Spaulding on their way to an easy 38-7 victory.

Second half shutout hurts Owls

KEENE — Trailing 13-10 at the break, Keene found the best way to slow down Timberlane standout Nick Lawrence — by not letting him get a shot at the ball.

A crushing third-quarter where the Blackbird offense ran all but three of the period's plays turned the tide and lifted the hosts to a 31-14 victory last night.

Lawrence, Owls upset Winacunnet

PLAISTOW — Timberlane used a heavy dose of running back Nick Lawrence as the Owls pulled off yet another upset last night.

With weather conditions favoring a solid rushing attack, the Owls knocked off the state’s top-ranked team last night with a convincing 26-14 victory over previously-undefeated Winnacunnet in a crucial Division 2 game.

Timberlane rolls to 35-7 victory

HUDSON, N.H. — Timberlane sophomore Joshua David spent many mornings this past offseason hearing his alarm clock sound at 4:45 a.m.

David woke up at that early hour at least twice every week to lift weights with coach Kevin Fitzgerald and some teammates, including Brian Hassard, Cam Gargano, Anthony Gillis and Connor Sproul.
