Senior captain Lexie Corso was a thorn in pitcher Julianne Meehan's side with three hits, but no other Masconomet hitters could break through as Pentucket avenged an opening-day loss with a vengeance, 10-0. Meehan had 10 strikeouts on the day and added a double offensively as did sisters Bernadette and Mary Kate Corrado. The Sachems now need just one more victory in their last three games to qualify for state tourney play.
