Avery Cullinan and Emily Vartebedian scored two goals each for Newburyport. Chloe Hundertmark and Haley Johnson added one each. Freshman Lily Galzerano had eight saves. Newburyport trailed 13-1 at halftime.
"We played really well in the second half," Newburyport coach Catherine Batchelder said. "It was our first time on a field. We've been indoors for so long. But we got the nerves out and played the way we're capable of playing in the second half."
