No. 30 St. John's of Shrewsbury tripped No. 35 North Andover, 63-56, Tuesday in the preliminary round of the Division 1 state tournament. It was a 2-point game with 2:49 left but the hosts pulled away late.  The Scarlet Knights, who finish up at 11-9, got another big night from all-conference sophomore Zach Wolinski, who pumped in 20 points on six 3-pointers. He was backed by surprising senior Brody McGratty with 12 points and D'Andre King with eight. Liam Trundy gave the Knights a lift with a big 3-pointer and some tough defense. Coach Paul Tanglis tweeted: "Beyond proud to coach this team. Amazing young men." Junior George Eiermann had 18 for the Pioneers, improved to 10-11 and will be at No. 2 Andover Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Zach Wolinski scored 15 points and Jack O'Connell tallied 14 points as North Andover won its second straight thriller, 58-56 over Lowell on Friday. 

Ryan MacLellan scored a game-high 23 points to keep Andover unbeaten (10-0), downing North Andover 73-50. Aidan Cammann added 16 points for the Golden Warriors, while Drew Connolly added 14 points for the Scarlet Knights.

Jack O'Connell scored a game-high 23 points to lead North Andover past Dracut 70-57. Zach Wolinski added 14 points for the winners.

Alejandro Delgado scored a game-high 23 points as Haverhill topped North Andover 68-57. Jeremy Valdez added 12 points for the Hillies, while Zach Wolinski led the Scarlet Knights with 20 points.

Jack O'Connell drove to the basket and sunk the game-winning layup with three seconds left in the game to give North Andover a dramatic 57-56 win over Chelmsford on Friday. Zach Wolinski added a team-high 17 points for the winners.

Senior Drew Connolly scored a season-high 22 points with 5 assists with 4 threes as North Andover beat Tewksbury, 82-55.

Zach Wolinski erupted for a career-high 32-points on Sunday, knocking down six 3-pointers to help lead North Andover boys basketball to a 60-58 win over defending Cape Ann League champion Newburyport. Zach Faro added eight points and Brody McGratty had seven to help the Scarlet Knights improve to 3-2 on the year.

Senior Brody McGratty scored a career-high 15 points as North Andover beat Londonderry 67-62 in overtime. Jack O'Connell (14 points) and Zach Wolinski (13 points) also excelled for the Scarlet Knights.
